DESCRIPTION

A special product line that features Yoshiyuki’s basic haori, or Japanese style half-coat, Yamato #4 made of Japanese traditional woven cloth.

This is a relaxing cotton coverall made in combination of high-quality terrycloth and traditional Kurume Kasuri that has been produced in Kurume region, Fukuoka prefecture. By using an airy Kurume Kasuri for the front panel and a shiny terrycloth for the back, the touch of country life and the functionality of urban sportwear are nicely fused in one product.

Known as one of the major three kasuri (splashed pattern) cloth in Japan, Kurume Kasuri is designated as an important intangible cultural asset of the country for its unique production process that consists of 30 steps. Even after 200 years from its birth, made possible by the innovative production methods and the inventor’s great enthusiasms, this kasuri cloth has been loved by men and women of all ages whereas countless of new materials are introduced and disappeared in the trend of the times.
